CHINA'S FIRST WETLANDS COURSE
Sited on a flat flood-prone site in Jiangsu, Yunhai Wetlands GC was created by excavating very large deep lakes and wetland areas and using the fill to raise greens and fairways. The golf course has been extensively planted with native grasses and aquatic species and is a refuge for wetlands birds in the area. The golf course is an Audubon member - the first in China to join this recognised awards system for ecological protection.
