Composite course for tournament play

The championship/tournament course at Royal Selangor Golf Club is a composite course comprising Holes 1-9 of the Old Course and Holes 10-18 of the New Course. The primary reason for using a composite course is to keep the tournament in front of the clubhouse - it so happens that the two nines selected are also reasonably long and challenging.

The course faced it's first professional test when it hosted the 2016 Maybank Championship, won by Marcus Fraser of Australia with a winning score of -15 (269)
